Scenarios

A scenario is [brief explanation]. These scenarios are used to project carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and sulfate aerosol emissions, which in turn allow us to determine projections for our future climate.

The IPCC developed a series of scenarios to assist in the projection of future climates. In Climate Change in Australia the following emissions scenarios have been used as the basis of possible future warming:
B1 low warming
A1B 'business as usual
A1F1 high warming
